   Admissions Information

The Admissions Process

All patients who are admitted to the hospital for an inpatient stay or outpatient procedure  are registered by our Admissions Department.   At that time you will be asked for certain information pertaining to your health insurance, emergency contact, and other related information.

Pre-Admission Testing

Certain admissions require pre-admission testing to be completed such as blood tests, EKGs, or radiology studies i.e. X-Rays.  If these are required, generally, your physician’s office can help provide you with information regarding how to schedule them.  You may need certain items such as prescriptions or referral forms for these tests, depending upon your insurance plan.  Often, all of these tests can be done in one visit at Graduate Hospital in our Pre-Admissions Testing Department.

Admissions Locations

When you arrive for a scheduled admission to the hospital, you should go to the Admissions office located in the Main Hospital in the South Street Lobby.

For certain outpatient/same-day surgical procedures, you can report to the Tuttleman Center located on South Street, directly across from the main hospital building.

If your medical condition is urgent and you or a family member are unable to register in the admissions department, someone from the admissions department will report to your bedside to get the information needed.

Health Insurance and Financial Information

Graduate Hospital accepts a number of different health insurance plans.  Our financial staff can help verify your coverage prior to admission.  Any co-pays or deductibles are due upon admission to the hospital.  If you have any questions regarding co-pays or deductibles, or if you need to set up a payment schedule, our financial counseling staff is available to help you when you arrive for pre-admission testing, or any time before your scheduled admission date.  Graduate accepts cash, credit cards or personal checks for any payments due.    If you need to contact our financial counseling office, call 215-893-7603.

All charges for hospital services including fees for you room, meals, nursing care and other services are generally sent directly to your insurance company for payment.   You will receive a copy of all bills submitted including any balances owed by you or your insurance company.

Physician Services provided are separate from any Hospital Charges and are billed separately to you or your insurance company.
