   Graduate Hospital Announces New CEO

Leslie Davis Named Chief Executive Officer

PHILADELPHIA, Pa., Feb. 11, 2003— Graduate Hospital and Tenet HealthSystem Pennsylvania announced the appointment of Leslie Davis, as chief executive officer of Graduate Hospital. As CEO, Davis will be responsible for all operational, administrative and strategic activities at the hospital.

For over 20 years, Davis has dedicated her career to the operation and success of academic medical centers and health systems, most recently serving as chief marketing and planning officer at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia. As such, she led the strategic planning process for the health system and was responsible for multiple corporate and shared services including marketing, clinical effectiveness and medical affairs.

"I am excited about the opportunity to join the team at Graduate. Throughout my health care career, I have worked hard to enhance patient care, grow clinical programs and respond to the needs of our community," said Davis. "I'm looking forward to making this same impact at Graduate."

Prior to the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Leslie was vice president of clinical affiliations, ambulatory programs and hospital operations at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, also in Philadelphia. At Jefferson, Leslie built a primary care network and led the planning and operation of several service lines.

Leslie has also held senior administrative positions at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. She earned a B.A. from the University of South Florida as well as a Master's degree from Harvard University and is a member of several professional and civic organizations including the American College of Health Care Executives.

Graduate Hospital is a 303-bed acute care adult facility located in Center City, Philadelphia. The hospital provides a wide range of services to both the local community and specialty care to patients from throughout the tri-sate region. Graduate has earned a reputation for advanced care in many areas including orthopedics, gastroenterology and cardiac care. Specialty centers include the Digestive Health Institute, Wound Care Center, Center for Bloodless* Medicine and Surgery, Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Pelvic Floor Institute. Graduate maintains an active teaching program with more than 100 residents in training. With its predecessors dating back to 1889 at its present site.

Tenet HealthSystem Pennsylvania includes Elkins Park Hospital, Graduate Hospital, Hahnemann University Hospital, Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital, Parkview Hospital, Roxborough Memorial Hospital, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and Warminster Hospital.
